Oh my...Dubai (Part 1)

My husband travels internationally for his job and gets to go to some pretty cool places.  With all his travel, he racks up quite a few miles and in turn, I get to tag along on a few of those trips!  This year I have been able to go to Buenos Aires, Beijing and most recently, Dubai.  Jonny went to Dubai last year and told me how spectacular it was.  I figured this year was my opportunity to go, so I went!  I went in September, which is towards the end of their summer.  It was still pretty hot (close to 100), but it was actually about the same temprature in Houston!

Here is the view from our hotel room.  We stayed in the Jumeriah Beach area.  This is a view of the Jumeriah Palm (island that looks like a Palm Tree).
One of the afternoons that Jonny didn't have to work, we went on a desert safari.  It was a lot of fun!
You ride in Land Cruisers and it's pretty much like a real life roller coaster...

We were glad this wasn't us, but we had to wait while our driver helped these people out.
 Team Pink!
I got to ride a camel!  I was pretty pumped about this...
After the safari we had a dinner and they had this guy as the entertainment.
 Dubai skyline at night.
The buildings across from our hotel.
 The street outside our hotel.
